Master programme Mathematics/Numerics at the RWTH Aachen



The master course comprises 4 semesters. In the fourth semester
one should work on the master thesis. Altogether one has
to attend 7 main lectures (9 credits) and two seminars:

  • 3 lectures from the Specialization (SP)
  • 2 lectures in Applied Mathematics (AM)
  • 2 lectures in Pure Mathematics (RM)
  • 1 seminar in Applied Mathematics and 1 seminar in Pure Mathematics (Sem)

Recommendation for students aiming at a numerics based master course:

  • In the 4th semester: Ordinary Diferential Equations (GDGL)
  • In the 5th semester: Numerical Analysis 3 (NA3)
  • In the 6th semester: Partial Differential Equations (PDGL)
