This module (5 ECTS) has 2 hours lecture and 1 hours recitation/exercise per week. The recitations will be held approximately every 2 weeks. The oral examination takes place at the end of the semester.

Course Description
The main topic to be discussed in the first part of this course is backstepping controller design. This approach originated from control of nonlinear systems called integrator backstepping. It was extended afterwards to partial differential equations in the context of boundary control. We will consider backstepping design for different classes of PDEs as well as observer design, motion planning and adaptive control.
